personality. Illiana is strong willed, confident and beyond stubborn, never backing down from a fight, one may even call her brave for this drive. Headstrong, she fights for what she believes is right and speaks her mind, even if all odds seem against her. She may seem patient, kind and elegant to those passing by a quick glance but she is ruthless when set in her ways. She has pride in her half-blood and will not hesitate to snap at anyone who leaves out either of her lineages.Though not all fiery, this viera’ra is ultimately a selfless and loyal soul till the end, willing to raise any arms for those she loves and deems friends and allies. In moments you may see her softer side, interacting with young be it animals or children, even those who’ve gone through much hardship. Do not bring this up to her though in jest, you will be met with a swift punch and an extremely red faced viera’ra.Behind whatever exterior air she may give off at any time, she is filled with uncertainty for the time ahead of her life. Her greatest anxiety formed by her vieran leaning lifespan, the fear she may one day be alone and watch those she loves die around her. Due to this, she chooses to constantly surround herself with allies, finding herself heavily reliant on them more so out of battle.Her sass and mischievous nature came to a more forefront upon spending time in the company of Istrault Sirois. He was also the one to help her fully accept who she was, her role and show her just how deserving she was of all the good that came her way

Shedding Season Bi-yearly, Illi sheds both her hair and scales. It's an extremely uncomfortable time and she's highly temperamental during it. Please insert her into a warm bath during this time with tea.
Spicy Pockets As a child born and raised on Thavnairan spices, Illi finds a lot of Eorzean food quite bland. As a result, she carries spices from her home to season her own food. Her mother often sent her additional supplies if she ever ran out.
Accidental Bastard As the product of a one-night stand in the forest, Illi was a bastard child and a stressful pregnancy for her mother who had to travel from her tribe to Thavnair alone. Her parents were later married after she turned three years old.

Heightened Senses Due to not only being Vieran but also having Au Ra blood, Illi's senses are quite enhanced. Her hearing more than anything else as she notices the smallest shift in one's breathing, heart beat or even that of weather changes.
Aether/Mist Sensitivity Much like other viera, when exposed to high levels of aether, Illi enters a berserk state. It is a dangerous state and best to flee the area when this occurs lest one be harmed beyond recognition or even death!
The Echo When this ability first manifested, Illi's grandfather thought it a gift from The Dusk Mother, to protect his grandchild in the future of what was to come. It was extremely weak when she was young, coming to her in foggy dreams. Upon receiving Hydalen's Blessing on the boat to Eorzea, it strengthened her visions as well as other newfound abilities.

PvP Time. The Grand Companies have come together once again for PvP training at Seal Rock. While in the midst of a fight you flinch, expecting the final blow to end you when a firm hand grabs you and pulls you against them, the sound of metal clanging as a sword hits their shield. Opening your eyes to look up at your savior, she raises a brow at you, "Keep on guard. Do not fall, I've got you."Hunting for Nut Sacks. While out in jungles of Thavnair, searching for the target of a hunt put out by the Radiant Host, an arrow whizzes past your face, lodging itself in a nearby animal who dies with a mighty cry. Looking in the direction from whence the arrow came, a scaled viera who was prepped with another arrow knocked in her bow.Hungry, Hungry Hippos. You've been sent to retrieve potions from The Great Work in Thavnair. While exploring the massive buildings, a brightly dressed and scaled viera runs past you, yelling with her arms full of herbs, "By the blessing of the Sisters if you do not run the fucking hippos will run you over! MOVE!" The sound of thumping ground is following shortly behind her.

It's rabbit season. You've been tasked to locate the Viera'ra by the Scions. They do not know where she could have vanished to but her last known location was The Dravanian Forelands. Perhaps the adventurers in Tailfeather have seen the scaled Viera?Constellations. On a surprisingly chilly night, you find the scaled viera with a small telescope at her hip, scribbling in a leather bound journal. What could she be writing about?

Angry Viera? The Steppe is home to many a Xaela tribe. The Mol, the Orinir, Gesi and even the Dotharl! Why is there a scaley Viera arguing with Magnai in front of the Dawn Throne?Woe, light be upon ye. The night is returning to the First! Peoples are rejoicing and thriving, all but one who has seemed to slip away amongst the merriment. You find Illiana in the Crystarium's gardens, leaning against a tree as she is throwing up light from her body. Her limbs taken over by the corruption that threatens her very life.You needed bones? While venturing around Rhalgr's Reach you hear the nearby crack of wood followed by a heavy splash. Looking over you see Illiana pulling back from a kick while brushing some wood splinters from her leg. She takes notice of you watching and beckons you to come over and join her before rewrapping the wraps on her hands. Do you approach?

Fiend of Ishgard. You've heard whispers of the "Fiend of Ishgard" throughout the cold city, perhaps the gaze that follows you belongs to that very same fiend?Lady Sirreau. There are whispers the Lady of House Sirreau in Ishgard is not an Elezen. Has another heretic breeched the Holy See? Do you dare venture to the high house and find out for yourself?

summary. A Meracydian Elezen and fellow WoL who she once found herself at the spear's tip of turned into her companion and husband. Perhaps a little intimidating on the outside, past it shows a caring and compassionate individual, capable of holding his own.Illiana found Istrault one day in an inn and through enough pestering, convinced the Elezen to let her join his venture off into Dzemael Darkhold. The venture itself ended in a battle between the pair with Istrault convinced Illiana was sent by the Lambs of Dalamud in order to off him. This began the start of a rather tumultuous string of interactions between the pair, coupled with several more near-death fights. With time through their adventures together (some forced as they may have been), the pair came to tolerate one another’s company, one might say they even enjoyed it before ultimately deciding to wed.Illi is scarcely seen without her husband nearby these days, preparations for their new journey into the lands of Tural.

Balvan Valisna

summary. Veteran Captain of the Radiant Host, Illiana’s father and main combat mentor. A child born of the Steppe but whisked away to the colourful lands of Thavnair only a couple summers old post the death of the mother he barely remembers.Illiana views her father as a stoic man, holding a strong sense of leadership and responsibility over the Host. Though perhaps more stubborn than an ass, he is a man who shows his unyielding compassion for his kin, blood or not. He is a hard man to please but is easily won over if you defeat him in a battle, show your valor or protect his children in any way. His father jokes that his son is more like his mother.During the devastation that took Thavnair, he temporarily took back up the mantle of Captain of the Host with the death of Qulsun bihn Aphmau till a new Captain could be appointed.

Nirha Sumarbrander

summary. Once an established healer of the Atoel tribe, this soft spoken viera is now often seen aiding the healers of Thavnair. Illiana’s mother and the original holder of the Astrologian stone she entrusted her child with. Banished from her tribe for not only fraternizing with an outsider but finding herself with their child, Nirha went on a vast journey to find the Au Ra man who had stolen her heart in all but a few nights till she finally settled in the lands of Thavnair.A soft spoken woman with a deceptively strong backbone to not take any single being’s bullshit or sass. Nirha is fiercely protective of her family, even those chosen and not blood. Confident and daring, she is often found facing down massive beasts without a single flinch or mote of hesitation. Perhaps that is why she is so capable of dealing with her husband and child’s pouty outbursts.These days she is often seen collecting various flora and fauna while tending to the creatures inhabiting Thavnair’s jungles, especially post the devastation to their lands. Not only did the people need healing but the creatures as well.

Kalair Atoel

Altun Sumarbrander

Younger Brother

summary. Master alchemist of the Great Works and Illiana's younger brother. Leaning more Au Ra in appearence, his Vieran lineage is made apparent by the mass of fluffy locks this lad possesses.He joined his sister and sister-in-law on their journey leaving Thavnair to explore the continent of Aldenard at the behest of their father. A powerful magic user under the training of his grandfather and mother, he was a great asset and companion to their journey.Post the death of Zexha, Altun returned home to Thavnair while Illiana continued on to Kugane. He continues to keep close contact with his sister via linkshell and letters.

Devraj Avagnar

Grandfather

summary. The Summoner of the Steppe, Illiana's grandfather and mentor of combative magics. He fled the the Steppe with his son post the death of his Nhaama during the Nadaam to hide from those who would hunt them down without Saki's protection.Patient but firm is the best way Illiana describes her grandfather, perhaps a little too firm in his teachings though. Always on edge due to his time growing up in the Steppe thanks to the fate of his tribe.Often seen in his old age hobbling around Radz-at-Han with his carbuncle, Saffron, trailing not too far behind.

Saki Dorthal

summary. Illi's paternal grandmother who was killed during The Nadaam when her father was a few years old, forcing her husband and child to flee from The Azim Steppe lest they be killed by the lineage her partner carried.Saki, much like any other Dorthal, was an excellent warrior who Illi got her temper from and in her time, she was the leader of the tribe.Illi never personally met her grandmother but enjoyed listening to stories from her grandfather about his 'Nhaama'.

Zexha Kaatru

Ex-Wife (Deceased)

summary. A moon/sun mixed Miqo whose family fled Ala Mhigo after the fall, finding home in Thavnair. A dark knight who dabbled in the use of a spear as a lancer. She was Illiana's partner from the ages of 32 (pre-ARR) till 40 (HW) when she was felled by Illiana during the attack on Baelsar’s Wall.She allied with Illberd, his ideals and ambition to see Ala Mhigo restored. She attempted to persuade Illiana over to their side before the pair were left with no choice but to fight one another.Zexha's end came with her own blade plunged through her body by Illiana who left her body to be blown up during Papalymo’s sacrifice to temporarily seal away Shinryu.

Ahewann bin Alzadaal

Ex-Fiancé (Deceased)

summary. Satrap of Radz-at-Han but he wasn't always. A strong and courageous leader with a gentle heart, Illi's first partner.Illi and Ahe were a pair bethrothed at the word of their fathers from a young age. A pair that blossomed from friendship into love but in time fell apart with the death of Ahe's father, the stress of his new title and the new weight placed on his shoulders. The pair agreed to end their engagement a few years following though they remained close friends.Ahewann's death came post the battle at Vanaspati, consumed by a blasphemy in front of Illiana while protecting their people.

Raniero

Voidsent

summary. Illiana's second voidsent partner post the death of Alcor. Assuming the form of an Au Ra in order to blend into the world a tad easier.Raniero, also known as "Rani" sought interest in Illiana's tainted aether. One touched by the void but corrupted by the light? What an interesting combination that yielded exciting results. After sometime of stalking the viera'ra and her partner through Garlemald, a deal was struck, an agreement in which Illi's reaper abilities were once more returned to her.Rani is seen as more mischievous and hungry. Often kept in line by his newly acquired companion in Illi, he is never too far from her side.

V'kori Tia

Ex-Boyfriend/Mentor

summary. A member of the V tribe who sought out training to become a Sekiseigumi in the city of Kugane. Illiana's mentor in the samurai arts as well as her partner for a short time. Later he would be found aiding the Bozjan Resistance as a gunbreaker.Although a short relationship with all things considered, Kori taught Illi a lesson in moving on from her wife, to find happiness in life and all the trials and tribulations she would face going forward.Kori and Illi semi-regularly meet up for tea in Ishgard or Kugane to tell one another of their adventures.
